The brand has released a line of shoes made of plastic
For the pre-fall 2012 collection, the Italian fashion brand Gucci has released a line of "eco-friendly" shoes for men and women. Ladies are offered ballet flats made of ecological plastic that decays in the natural environment, and Gucci has launched a line of sneakers for men.
Gucci eco-friendly shoes will not differ in a wide variety: one model for men and one for women, but the color scheme will be very wide, from green to black.
New “eco-friendly” shoes from Gucci will be available from the end of June in the brand's stores around the world, as well as on the company's website. The shoes were designed by creative director Frida Giannini and will sport the classic Gucci logo on both models, riamoda.ru reports.
The Italian company Gucci is one of the most recognizable brands of the French concern PPR, which occupies a leading position in the luxury goods market. The first quarter of 2012 of the year brought Gucci sales growth of 12% and online sales growth of 30%. As of March of this year, the brand has 390 stores, of which 149 is in emerging markets.
