Ekonika may add men's shoes to its range, - Kommersant decided, noting that the Russian retailer has filed an application to register the trademarks "ekonika man" and "ekonika men." Under these trademarks, the brand may develop a line of men's footwear and accessories. The company itself told journalists that it is "considering various directions for the brand's development."
The Russian footwear retailer is currently the most prominent player in the women's footwear segment. According to Infoline data for Ekonika, its share of the Russian women's footwear market (excluding sportswear) is approximately 5%.
The brand pursues an active marketing strategy, releasing collaborations and limited collections, and is developing its signature retail chain, which now boasts over 110 stores. A redesign project for the chain's flagship stores began in 2023.
Ekonika is part of the Novard investment group's portfolio. The revenue of the Ekonika brand's operating company, Esperance LLC, amounted to 18,2 billion rubles in 2025, an 11,3% increase year-on-year, with net profit reaching 2,9 billion rubles (a 9% increase).
