The footwear and accessories brand EKONIKA is broadcasting its love for object design and invites you to visit its stand at the Cosmoscow contemporary art fair, where the “Blue Room” created by EKONIKA in collaboration with the architectural studio EDxxKAT will be presented.
Let us recall that the fantastic furniture with characteristic rounded shapes from the design bureau EDxxKAT, founded by Katya Pyatitskaya and Eduard Eremchuk, became the decoration EKONIKA flagship store in Moscow in the Atrium shopping mall.
The 12th international contemporary art fair Cosmoscow will be held in Moscow at the Timiryazev Center from October 25 to 27. EKONIKA and EDxxKAT will present the installation "Blue Room" at the event. The project concept is based on the signature shade Blue River, which refers to the color scheme of water, the planet and the world of EKONIKA's heroine.
The viewer will see a fantasy room of a modern girl who experiments with style every day, while remaining herself. In the space of the room, the girl builds her own universe: with order and chaos, laws and mysteries, dynamics and stability.
Visitors will be able to immerse themselves in the heroine's reality through interaction with objects inside the room and multi-sensory experiences. She was just here: the vinyl player is still playing, the scent of perfume is in the air, an unfinished cup of coffee is left on the dressing table. All the objects in the space tell about the heroine's character, her hobbies.
For the Blue Room project, EDxxKAT designers created exclusive furniture items: a capsule wardrobe and a dressing table, which will be presented for the first time at Cosmoscow, as well as an armchair from the Alien series and a sofa - all in sky-blue, with rounded shapes and unusual proportions. The atmosphere of the living space will be supported by shoes, bags and accessories from EKONIKA, designed in the Blue River shade specifically for the project.
EKONIKA's participation in the contemporary art fair seems a logical continuation recent presentation of the brand's capsule collection "Back to Office", which also resembled an installation from the Art Moscow halls.
As representatives of the shoe retailer explain, after the 2023 rebranding, EKONIKA is successfully undergoing a transformation and developing not only in its core fashion direction, but is also taking its first steps towards projects at the intersection of fashion and design.
"We are moving forward in the art direction. Our first step is cooperation with the architectural studio EDxxKAT within the framework of the international fair of contemporary art Cosmoscow. It was important for us to give the EDxxKAT team the opportunity to implement creative ideas at the intersection of design and fashion without restrictions. As a result, a unique space "Blue Room" was born, where you can feel how time slows down, and fashion becomes a part of everyday life," says Yulia Bulgakova, Director of Marketing Communications of the EKONIKA brand.
