Chinese footwear exports to Russia fell by 6,8% in the first ten months of 2025.

According to the World Trade Organization (WTO), in the first ten months of 2025, China's footwear exports fell by 8,1% compared to the same period in 2024, reaching $38,3 billion. The decline widened from -9,9% in the third quarter to -18,4% in October.

The three main markets for Chinese footwear also saw declines: the European Union (-2,1%), the United States (-24,9%), and Russia (-6,8%). The decline in the US share was undoubtedly influenced by the China-US trade war. In the last two months of the year, following the conciliatory meeting between Xi Jinping and Donald Trump, there is a possibility of a recovery in Chinese footwear exports to the US.
