The Ministry of Industry and Trade is not considering restricting imports to the Russian Federation of light industry products from countries that have joined the sanctions against Russia, said Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Viktor Evtukhov.
Recall that since March 2014, several sanctions packages were introduced against Russia, first targeted, aimed at individuals, and then wider, affecting entire sectors of the economy.
In response, the Russian Federation has limited the import of products from countries that have joined the package of sanctions against it.
"We do not raise the question in the light industry, since the main partners of Russia in this area are China, Vietnam, with whom we are today working on an agreement on a free trade zone, India. We have a serious trade with these countries, and we are not going to close this market for With regard to products from Europe, the percentage in our market is small, "he explained.
According to Yevtukhov, a large share of the domestic market is occupied by imported European shoes - about 30% of the total number of imported shoes in the Russian Federation, while only 8-10% is imported from Europe.
