Expo Riva Schuh & Gardabags feel the return of activity

The international exhibition of shoes, bags and accessories Expo Riva Schuh & Gardabags, held in Italy in Riva del Garda from January 14 to 17, 2023, gathered more than 8 visitors from 600 countries. The organizers note that the event returns to the pre-pandemicother activity.

“We are ending this session of the exhibition with a smile. The uncertainty that Covid has thrown the entire industry into has finally dissipated. Expo Riva Schuh & Gardabags has again become an important business platform for everyone who wants to buy and sell shoes and leather goods on favorable terms. Global scale. Numbers don't always tell the whole story, but in this case they help to explain what our satisfaction and optimism for the future are based on,” said Riva del Garda Fierecongressi Chairman Roberto Pellegrini.

Between January 14 and 17, 2023, 8 people from over 610 countries visited the international trade show. The organization highlighted the growth in visitors from Latin America, Southeast Asia and North America and noted that "a pleasant surprise was the influx of buyers from Israel, while the number of Italian visitors also increased." The event was attended by ten government delegations, namely, from India, Turkey, Spain, Portugal, Indonesia, Ivory Coast, Hong Kong, Italy and the Chinese regions of Sichuan and Wenzhou. Although operators believe that pre-pandemic levels have not yet been reached, this event was much better than those that have been held in the past two years.

Focused on sustainability, market focus and retail innovation, the 98th edition of Expo Riva Schuh & Gardabags was an opportunity for shoppers to diversify their supply chain. According to exhibition manager Gian Paola Pedretti, the situation with the long stoppage of Chinese and Asian production and logistical difficulties is now normalizing, but what has happened during the pandemic has prompted buyers from different countries around the world to diversify their sources of supply. All of them have found Expo Riva Schuh & Gardabags the ideal platform to connect with a wide range of suppliers.

The next exhibition, dedicated to the spring-summer 2023 season, is scheduled to be held from 17 to 20 June 2023.
