Facebook introduces Chronicles for company and brand pages

The social network Facebook will transfer the pages of brands and companies to a new interface, called Timeline (in the Russian version - “Chronicle”). All public pages will be transferred to the new interface after March 30. Until this time, administrators will be able to configure and view the Chronicles for their pages, as well as, if desired, proceed to the update ahead of schedule.

In the new interface, all events associated with the page are delayed on the vertical “timeline”. In this case, a remarkable entry can be attached above other updates. In addition, in the "Chronicle" you can note the "key event", which will stand out from ordinary news.

One of the first brands to convert their Facebook pages to Chronicles was Manchester United Football Club, Walmart, Red Bull, Burberry, Dove and Coca-Cola. On the Coca-Cola page, the counting of the “chronicle” begins in the 1890's, the ural.ru portal writes.

Facebook introduced the Chronicles for the pages of 22 users on September 2011 of the year, and at the end of the year they became available to everyone. In January 2012, the company began to translate all user pages to a new interface.
