Farfetch begins the fight for the Russian buyer

Farfetch, an online retailer specializing in premium products, has opened a representative office in Russia and will also develop the company in the CIS countries and the Baltic states. Created in 2008, Farfetch works with 300 boutiques in 32 countries; Farfetch accounts for a small part of the turnover on the Russian market - about 20 million dollars a year. The main players in the Russian online trading in the luxury and premium segments are Aizel.ru, Lamoda and Wildberries. About 1 million Russians for 2014 bought about 0,5 billion euros of clothing, footwear and accessories on their websites. Due to the fact that the market for luxury and premium goods is more stable during the crisis and is the only segment in clothes and shoes that grew even in pieces in 2015, then in the fight for the Russian buyer Farfetch will have to compete with almost all luxury and premium online - retailers. The strategic direction for the development of trade at Farfetch will be the Russian regions.
