Fashion house Salvatore Ferragamo ended 2024 with a negative balance sheet, recording a loss of 68 million euros. In comparison, the company ended 2023 with a net profit of 26 million euros. The company's net debt in 2024 amounted to 173 million euros, compared to 224 million euros at the end of 2023.
“2024 has been a challenging year as the market has been impacted by ongoing geopolitical tensions and macroeconomic uncertainty, which has impacted demand for luxury goods. The slowdown in Asian markets, particularly China, and the unfavourable global context for wholesale have further complicated the situation,” the company said.
Meanwhile, the company is reporting positive results in the fourth quarter. Good results in the core Direct To Consumer (DTC) sales channel, where bags and shoes predominate, were shown by two of Ferragamo's most popular products to date - the Hug tote bag (2550 euros) and the Zina ballet flats (630 euros). They have become new hits for the brand.
