Fila India, owned by Cravatex Brands Limited, an Indian division of Batra Group, has set its sights on expanding its retail presence in the country and is planning to open 100 brand stores by 2020, writes Worldfootwear.com
Due to the fact that recently there has been an increase in consumer interest in clothing and shoes of a sports style, the supply of such goods is growing worldwide. The Italian brand intends on this wave to strengthen its presence in India and expand its retail network in the country. By the end of this financial year, the brand predicts 50% sales growth in India. Fila opens one store a month and expects to maintain this pace in retail development throughout the 2019 year. The focus is on Fila Heritage stores, which offer fashionable sportswear and premium shoes. Brand stores are developing by franchising.
