The Turkish company Flo Retailing and the Lebanese Azadea Group plan to buy the business of the French network of sporting goods Decathlon in Russia, Vedomosti writes, citing information from retail real estate consultants.
The option of buying out the Russian network and restarting all Decathlon stores on a franchising model is being considered, it is also possible that some of the retail outlets of the existing network will be closed.
Potential buyers are actively negotiating with the Decathlon-owning Mullier family, which also has Leroy Merlin and Auchan among its assets. Currently, according to IBC Real Estate, Decathlon owns 26 properties with a total area of more than 150 sq. meters, including 000 hypermarkets and one warehouse.

The Lebanese Azadea Group is owned by the Daher Group, owns the world's largest shopping mall, Dubai Mall, and franchises over 40 international brands, including Decathlon, Adidas, Deichmann, Calzedonia, Mango and others.
