French brands set off to conquer the American market

During October in New York City, Neighborhood Goods concept store in Chelsea Market will open a French Footwear Federation pop-up store featuring collections of 6 French footwear brands, "from espadrille specialists to stilettos, ankle boots, French moccasins and even children's slippers.

“The American market is a priority market where French footwear brands, in particular the premium and luxury categories, can easily find their place,” says Michel Guillou-Bonnet, General Representative of the French Footwear Federation. - This pop-up store is the perfect opportunity to present a selection of brands that epitomize the artisanal spirit of contemporary French footwear. At Neighborhood Goods, a concept store that opened in 2019 in New York's Chelsea Market, ranging from fashion brands to beauty brands, including fine books and luxury secondhand, French Edit Corner will feature designer Avril Gau, who this year celebrates the 20th anniversary of its collection and whose models of ankle boots, heeled loafers and pumps reflect Parisian chic in modern fashion.

Also in the collection of French brands will be presented shoe brand Arche, which has already opened three stores in New York. Created by Anthony Knopfer, Anthology Paris will showcase its timeless footwear for men and women, including clogs, pumps, derbies and other ankle boots. Pare Gabia, founded in 1935 and part of the Royer group, will offer Americans a collection of espadrilles. Craie Studio, a brand of leather goods and footwear, will present its models of children's slippers made of sheepleather and vegetable tanned leather. The young brand Etre Amis will offer shoes made from recycled materials.
