The FCS met with the operator companies and allowed them to process foreign parcels according to the register, which would contain data on several shipments, and not each parcel individually. Registration will occur in electronic form.
“If we talk about the current situation, it will improve significantly for express carriers. The FCS will allow them to register goods for individuals according to the register, and not individually. In addition, commercial carriers will be able to carry out customs clearance of goods in electronic form, ”said Evraev.
Also, a new maximum volume and value of duty-free parcels was set - 10 kilograms and 200 euros, and not 150, as previously agreed by the government.
We would like to remind that last week cargo delivery operators DHL, DPN, Pony Express, SPSR, TNT, FedEx and UPS stopped delivering personal goods to Russia, explaining this by changes in the order of registration. At the same time, online stores Net-a-porter.com, Theoutnet.com (part of the Swiss Richemont), Shopbop.com and Easdane (owned by Amazon.com) also suspended shipments to Russia due to new customs regulations. The FCS, in turn, stated that it did not tighten the rules for parcels from abroad.
