U.S. retailer Gap has invested $1 million in shoe brand Saysh, founded in 2021 by Olympian Allison Felix and her brother and business partner Wes Felix. The Saysh brand idea is to support women's sports, writes Worldfootwear.com.
The investment is part of an $8 million Series A funding round led by dedicated consumer fund IRIS and Gap's Athleta brand. Other investors were Redpoint Ventures and Springbank Collective. The funds will be used to develop Saysh's e-commerce, wholesale distribution and community-based retail. In addition, the investment will support the expansion of the product range and the launch of several new running shoes for a variety of sports.
