GDS will include a program for the general public

The GDS - Global Destination for Shoes & Accessories exhibition of footwear and accessories will take place in Düsseldorf from 4 to 6 February. It continues the emerging trend of industry exhibitions to host events for the general public and is organizing a separate shopping and entertainment venue, which will be open to visitors on February 5th.

The space called "Richtig Wichtig", decorated in a Paris theme, will include a market for vintage clothing, accessories and design elements from the 40s to 90s, as well as music and film screenings, performances by street artists, break dancers and athletes on BMX.

In the main space of the exhibition, intended only for professionals in the sector, about 900 brands of shoes and accessories will be presented, divided into three zones: highstreet, Studio and Pop Up. The program of events will include a series of shows (including a catwalk prepared by German fashion bloggers), presentations, business seminars and forums, as well as a large party in honor of the opening of February 4, the Canadian guest singer Kaisa will be the star guest.
