The Italian brand Geox, which has always focused more on innovative developments in the field of footwear production rather than creating a fashionable design, deviated from the usual strategy when developing the collection for the fall-winter 2017 season and focused on fashion.
This fall, the first collection will appear in the assortment of the brand, created in collaboration with the Italian designer Ernesto Esposito, who has experience working with such fashionable brands as Louis Vuitton, Chloe, Marc Jacobs and Sergio Rossi.
The keynote of Ernesto Esposito's line of authorship was velvet - one of the main trends of this season, which confidently declared itself on the catwalks. Skillfully combining his own aesthetic vision with the technological developments that Geox is famous for, the designer offers a collection that fits into both everyday and holiday wardrobe. Velvet sneakers in rich emerald and scarlet colors, pearl-decorated pumps, stiletto heels or steady heels decorated with beads and rivets, fitted boots and ankle boots. One of the sources of inspiration taken by the designer as a basis is the retro stylistics of the 1970s with their hedonistic love of life and the mood of an eternal holiday. Velvet sandals and models with unusual heels occupy a special place in the collection. These patterns reflect the mood of Swinging London, which also became the theme Esposito chose as the starting point for the collection.
