In mid-January, Obuv Rossii Group of Companies opened the first Westfalika store in Yaroslavl, the third largest city in the Central Federal District. The population of the city exceeds half a million people. In 2014 the company plans to launch 3 more outlets in Yaroslavl. Investments in the opening of one store are 12-13 million rubles, taking into account the inventory.
The incomes of the population of the Central Federal District exceed the average level in Russia; therefore, the region is promising in terms of the development of shoe retail. In recent years, there has been an increase in the share of federal and global shoe networks in the district, which indicates the attractiveness of the regional shoe market.
Entering new regions - implementation of the network development program for 2014, which the company announced at the end of January. This year Obuv Rossii will open 120 stores throughout Russia and enter such new regions as the Volgograd, Vologda, Samara, Sakhalin, Ulyanovsk regions, and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The company also plans to strengthen its positions in the regions of its presence and open new stores in satellite cities of regional centers. Mostly these will be Westfalika stores in the format for shopping centers.
As a reminder, in 2013 Obuv Rossii opened more than 80 stores and entered 30 new cities. At the beginning of 2014, the Obuv Rossii network consisted of more than 270 stores.
