Detsky Mir Group increased revenue in the first quarter of 2018 to 24 billion rubles

The volume of consolidated unaudited revenue of Detsky Mir Group in the first quarter of 2018 increased by 14% to RUB 24 billion. compared to 21,1 billion rubles. in the first quarter of 2017. At the same time, the revenue of the online store increased by 64,9% to 1,5 billion rubles. compared to the same period last year.

Comparable sales (like-for-like) of the Detsky Mir chain of stores in Russia increased by 5,1%:

a comparable increase in the number of checks was 8,8%; the comparable average check decreased by 3,4%.

In the 1st quarter of 2018, 5 new Detsky Mir chain stores were opened. The Group of Companies continued the development of the ELC chain of stores, opening two new stores in Moscow and Krasnodar. The total number of Detsky Mir Group stores as of March 31, 2018 was 625.

The number of existing Detsky Mir loyalty card holders increased by 24% compared to the same period last year to 18,8 million people, about 76% of total sales during the 1st quarter were made using loyalty cards.

In the first quarter of 2018, MTS Bank and Detsky Mir launched co-branded cards with increased bonuses. Now, buyers can not only make purchases with the help of a Detsky Mir - MTS Bank credit or prepaid card, but also pay with bonuses up to 100% of the cost of goods in Detsky Mir retail stores. The main advantage of cards - bonuses are accrued when paying with a card not only in Detsky Mir stores, but also at any retail outlets.

“Despite the continued slowdown in inflation and a decrease in real disposable incomes of the population, as well as the high base of the first quarter of last year, the company managed to successfully complete the New Year season in January and significantly increase trade during the gender holidays in February and March. As a result, the volume of consolidated unaudited revenue grew by 14% to 24 billion rubles in the 1st quarter of 2018. A significant increase in turnover was achieved due to the full capacity of stores opened in 2017-2016, as well as due to an increase in comparable 5,1% like-for-like sales with a high level of traffic, says Vladimir Chirakhov, CEO of Detsky Mir PJSC. He added that the company continues to work to improve the quality of service of its own online store at all stages of order processing. Thus, the share of online orders ready to be issued within one hour in any retail store of the chain has grown over the reporting period from 45% to 80%. In the first quarter, the share of the online segment in the total revenue of the group of companies continued to grow, increasing to 6%. ”

Group of companies "Detsky Mir" unites the national retail chain of stores "Detsky Mir", the chain of stores "ELC", online stores "Detsky Mir" and "ELC". As of March 31, 2018, the Detsky Mir chain of stores is represented by 625 stores in Russia and Kazakhstan, located in 209 cities of Russia and 12 cities of Kazakhstan, the ELC chain is represented by 46 stores in Russia. The total sales area of ​​the group's stores is 686 sq. M.

In accordance with the audited IFRS data, for 2017 the Group’s revenue amounted to RUB 97,0 billion, adjusted EBITDA amounted to RUB 10,7 billion, and adjusted profit for the period amounted to RUB 5,5 billion. Shareholders of the Company: PJSC AFK Sistema - 52,10%; Russian-Chinese Investment Fund (RCIF) - 14,03%, the remaining shareholders owning less than 5% of the shares - 33,87%.
