Obuv Rossii Group of Companies noted a decrease in demand for shoes in the first quarter of 2018

The group’s revenue growth in the 1 quarter of 2018 of the year amounted to 6,1% and was largely due to the development of the retail network. During the reporting period, the retailer opened another 34 stores, of which 20 are Westfalika chain stores, according to the report on the Shoe of Russia report.

The company's revenue in the reporting period amounted to 2,257 billion rubles compared to 2,127 billion rubles. in the first quarter of 2017. At the same time, like-for-like sales of the Obuv Rossii group of companies decreased by 10,9%:

- a comparable number of checks decreased by 12,9%;

- The comparable average check size increased by 2,4%.

The company continued to open stores according to the plan outlined in 2017. In total for the first quarter. 2018 34 own stores were opened in 30 cities. Locations were also selected and prepared for the upcoming opening of the 2 quarter of 2018, the company said in a press release.

It is also noted that a protracted winter in a significant part of the country caused a shift in the beginning of the spring season, which affected the indicator of comparable sales in the first quarter of 2018. Sales of a significant part of the spring collection moved to the second quarter of 2018.

In the spring-summer collection, the company expanded the range of middle-layer clothing - jumpers and cardigans - to 100 models. This decision is due to the fact that the test sales of the new assortment in the autumn-winter season 2017 / 18 were successful. All company stores were equipped with fitting areas.
