The main buyer of men's clothes at TSUM received a prestigious award at the international exhibition of shoe manufacturers Micam in Milan.
Lev Kharlamov, the main buyer of men's clothing at TsUM, received the prestigious Micam Buyer Award at the recent Micam international shoe manufacturers' exhibition. The scarlet shoe, a symbol of Italy's pride - its famous footwear - was personally presented to Leo by Cleto Sagripanti, President of the Italian National Association of the Shoe Industry (ANCI).
The TSUM mainly buys shoes not at the exhibition, but directly in the showrooms of the brands, so Micam is more of a space for meeting new brands and their manufacturers. Receiving a prestigious award is associated not so much with an increase in the volume of purchases, which is steadily increasing by 5-10% each season, but with the efforts that TSUM buyers are making to provide the most complete and understandable presentation of partner collections. The correct demonstration of the features and advantages of each brand ultimately leads to successful implementation and, consequently, to increased sales. Every season, TSUM offers customers 70-75 collections of men's shoes, of which 10-15 are new. Italian shoes make up about 90% represented at TSUM, given the fact that many brands in France, Germany and other countries carry out production in Italy.
At the moment, men's shoes, like other goods for men, are presented on the second floor of the Central Department Store; in the coming seasons, a separate pool of shoe brands should be formed for the recently updated fourth floor, which is designed to express the trends and spirit of youth fashion.
