Following the fashion philosophy of sustainable development, the Italian luxury sneaker brand Golden Goose has opened a new Forward concept store in Miami. Exactly the same concept stores were opened by the brand a little earlier in Milan, Dubai and New York.
The Golden Goose Forward store, as it were, presents four opportunities to extend the life cycle of a product - repair, rework, resale and recycling.
In Miami, for example, Calzoleria allows customers to bring any brand of sneakers into the store for cleaning and disinfection, restoration, and repair. There is also a shoe customization service, including a special program for making sneakers from scratch. The store has two bins for recycling old shoes, and an online platform for reselling Golden Goose products has been launched on the Web.
The design of the store, which was created based on the interior of the brand's first headquarters in Venice, is noteworthy - raw concrete floors, rough iron poles, wooden shelves. Archival Golden Goose models are scattered throughout the store. Items from the brand's collection are interspersed with stacks of old vinyl, exhibition catalogs, tape recorders, retro suitcases and other items that create the right entourage for the vintage sneaker brand's store.
Golden Goose is a luxury sneaker and streetwear brand founded in 2000. Currently owned by private equity fund Permira, the brand has a retail network of more than 180 stores worldwide. Revenue in 2022 amounted to 500,9 million euros.
