Golden Goose strengthens its position in Spain

Italian luxury sneaker brand Golden Goose has opened a new boutique in Barcelona, on one of the Catalan capital's main shopping streets, Passeig de Gràcia. This expansion expands the brand's presence in Spain's second-largest city, where it previously had only one store in the El Corte Inglés shopping center, reports Fashion Network.

Last year, Golden Goose opened a renovated flagship store in Madrid, and the brand also has stores in Ibiza, Puerto Banus, and Marbella.

Founded by designers Alessandro Gallo and Francesca Rinaldo, Golden Goose is based in Venice and has been controlled by the Chinese fund HSG since December 2025, with Temasek holding a minority stake and Permira remaining a strategic partner. In accordance with its strategic plan, Golden Goose continues to pursue international expansion.

In 2025, the Italian brand increased its revenue by 15% to €734 million. Direct sales were a key driver of growth, increasing 21% year-on-year thanks to the opening of 17 new stores worldwide.
