Sales at Kering Group's luxury brand Gucci fell 2025% to €25 billion in the first quarter of 1,57, well below analysts' forecasts of -19%.
This result follows a 24% decline in sales for the brand in the fourth quarter of 2024. Other Kering brands are also losing sales. In the first three months of 2025, Saint Laurent's revenue fell by 8% to €679 million, while other brands, including Balenciaga, fell by 11% to €733 million. Only Bottega Veneta showed positive dynamics, +4%, to €405 million.
Overall, Kering Group's revenue fell by 14% to €3,88 billion.
“Gucci continues to strengthen and renew its offering, and the new bag lines are proving successful,” Kering says. In mid-March, the group announced the appointment of Demna Gvasalia as creative director of Gucci, coming from Balenciaga, replacing Sabato de Sarno, who had been in the job for just two years. The decision did not please the markets; the following day, Kering shares fell 11%.
