One of the largest fashion retailers in Europe, H&M, is considering the possibility of localizing production in Russia, - Interfax reports with reference to Saed El-Ashkar, General Director of H&M in Russia.
“H&M does not own factories and places orders with independent supplying factories around the world - from India, Bangladesh, China to Turkey and Portugal. The possibility of production in Russia is also being considered, ”said Saed El-Ashkar.
In addition to the H&M brand, the portfolio of the Swedish company includes the brands Weekday, COS, Monki, Afound, ARKET. The retailer's retail network in Russia has 161 stores; in March - May of this year, H&M sales in the Russian Federation amounted to about $ 241 million.
