High Safety and designer Leon Krayfish created a new version of work shoes

New models of work boots were developed by Russian designer Leon Krayfish, the founder of the NotMySize brand, together with High Safety, a manufacturer of personal and collective protective equipment for professionals working at heights. Shoe models are certified to be used for industrial production needs, and are also offered to end consumers directly on the company's blog on Instagram.

The collection of safety shoes includes high and low boots, which in addition to the original design have high protective properties. Shoes have a non-slip, moisture-resistant sole, a Kevlar anti-school insole, and are equipped with a Porelle membrane and insulation. The top is reinforced with a water-repellent Teflon coating. In total, the collection contains four models. Two pairs (high and low) of boots are made of genuine leather, the top of the other two models is a combination of genuine leather and nylon.

High Safety company manufactures fall protection equipment, including safety equipment and accessories, has its own sewing shop, and, according to Dmitry Lazarev, director of High Safety, decided to add safety shoes to its line of protective equipment and accessories a year ago. The company wanted to create shoes that possessed not only the necessary functional properties, but also would be comfortable and beautiful. To create a product “closer to fashion” High Safety turned to Russian designer Leon Krayfish, who had been successfully developing his own brand of handmade shoes NotMySize for several years.

“I wanted to create a model that would be minimalistic but at the same time reflect the image of a worker from a spacecraft, quite simple, noticeable and at the same time highly equipped from the point of view of technology and materials,” says Leon Krayfish about cooperation with High Safety.

According to Dmitry Lazarev, a long way has been walked from an idea to an end result. “Leon helped us with the development of the design, and we are pleased with what happened on the way out. Now the shoes are being tested and certified for use as special shoes. At the same time, two months ago, we launched sales of our shoes on Instagram, ”says Dmitry Lazarev.

High Safety has its own sewing workshop and will now add to it a shoe production site.

Essentially, High Safety follows in the footsteps of the iconic English brand Dr. Martens, whose shoes were also originally conceived as shoes for factory workers, and later became an integral part of the fashionable grunge style, which is again in trend today.

In Instagram High Safety “Russian martens” are offered at prices ranging from 7900 to 10900 rubles per pair, depending on the model.
