Imports of Italian goods to Russia fell by 36,7%
The first month of 2015 shows the sad statistics of imports of Italian goods to Russia: according to data from ISTAT, the Italian National Institute of Statistics, sales fell by 36,7%. In the fashion segment, according to the latest published data from SMI - Sisitema Moda Italia, in the first ten months of 2014 the volume of imports from Italy to Russia decreased by 11,5%.
However, Russia is not the only market where imports of Italian goods are falling. Statistics for January show an overall decrease in sales outside the EU by 2,4% compared to the previous month and 3,5% from a year earlier. The decline was registered in Latin America (-24%), South-East Asia (-12,8%), Japan (-12,7%), China (-7,7%), OPEC countries (-6,4%) ). The only rapidly developing market for Italian goods is currently the United States (+ 24,4%), and Turkey (+ 0,7%) also demonstrates slight growth.
