Shoe imports in January-August 2017 increased by 26,7%

According to preliminary data from the Federal Customs Service, in January-August 2017, shoe imports increased by 25,7% compared with the volume of shoe imports for the same period in 2016.

In August 2017, compared to August 2016, purchases of shoes increased by 38,4%.

The import of leather shoes from January to August 2017 amounted to 37,7 thousand tons, or $ 1060,8 million in value terms.

The main volume of imports of leather shoes falls on foreign countries, about 34, 2 thousand tons or $ 1009,3 - in value terms.

The volume of imports of leather shoes from the CIS countries in January-August 2017 amounted to only 5,2 tons or $ 51 million in value terms.
