According to Gfk, over the past four months, the consumer sentiment index in Moscow fell immediately by 45 points. This means that people are not optimistic about their financial condition and are not ready to spend money.
In November last year, this index reached 109 points. In March of this year, the value fell to 64 points. Moreover, in the crisis years of 2008-2009, the index fell to only 79 points.
The Gfk report commented that "in such a situation, one can expect that the recovery of the consumer market in Russia will be slower than it was during the previous crisis."
