India increases import of clothes and footwear to Russia
In August 2024, purchases of clothing and footwear from India increased 1,6 times (compared to the same period a year earlier) to $8,5 million, Prime reports, citing data from the Indian statistical service.
The volume of footwear imports from India to Russia in August amounted to $3,1 million. The most popular goods were blanks for upper parts of shoes ($3 million), as well as shoes with leather uppers ($60 thousand).
In total, according to the results of the first eight months of 2024, India's exports of clothing and footwear to Russia amounted to $95,12 million, which is 2,3 times more than for the same period a year earlier.
