According to the results of 2014, inflation in Russia may reach 6,5%, the first deputy chairman of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, Ksenia Yudaeva, said at a briefing at the International Banking Congress in St. Petersburg. However, she noted that the CBR’s main forecast remains at 6%.
Speaking about the risks of exceeding inflation targets in the medium term due to changes in the tariff freezing scheme, she noted that such an effect would not exceed 1,5%.
“The tariff freeze scheme is somehow tied to inflation, so in the long term they will need to be synchronized with each other. There is a certain risk next year, depending on how the rules that the government promised us last year change. Depending on this, the amount of excess will be.
