Infoline analytical agency has counted the audience of active Internet buyers in Russia. According to Ivan Fedyakov, General Director of Infoline, there are 63 million people, which corresponds to the number of economically active citizens in the country.
According to him, a significant increase in online shoppers occurred in Russia this year, during the Covid-19 quarantine period. It is important that 80% of new online shoppers rate their online selling experience as positive and plan to return to it. In the near future, experts expect a rapid growth in online sales. However, this does not mean that Russian consumers will refuse to buy in traditional retail. Analysts talk about the development of an omnichannel consumption model, when the consumer, in principle, does not care through which channel to make purchases. “You shouldn't oppose online and offline trade, we are talking about omnichannel, which we talked about before the pandemic. It's just that during these months we have gone through that evolutionary period, which should have taken years, and we have skipped it in just six months, ”comments Ivan Fedyakov.
