Footwear production in Spain continued its rapid decline in February 2026. According to the National Statistics Institute (INE), the Industrial Production Index (IPI) for the footwear industry fell by 29,1% in February 2026 (11,8% less than in January 2026), adjusted for seasonal and calendar factors, compared to the same month in 2025.
Overall, the annual rate of decline in the industrial production index in January was 1,1%, taking into account seasonal and calendar factors.
