Italian exhibitions Micam, Mipel and TheOne have ended

From September 15 to 17, the international exhibitions of footwear, leather and fur industry Micam, Mipel and TheOneMilano were held in Milan at the Fiera Milano Rho exhibition complex. Homi Fashion&Jewels was also added to them. This session, the exhibitions were held one day less than before. Over three days of work, they received 40 professional visitors, compared to 950 visitors of the exhibitions a year ago, when the exhibitions were held for 42 days.

Approximately 45% of the exhibition visitors came from abroad, from a total of 140 countries. The largest number of visitors came from European countries - Spain, Germany and France. The number of visitors from the USA and Canada doubled, followed by China and Japan.

Experts believe that the overall attendance of exhibitions, given the reduction in their duration, remained at the same level. However, they believe that the decision to reduce the number of events by one day is correct in a difficult market situation.

According to laconceria.it, there was a decrease in buyers' activity - "orders were coming in slowly". Some exhibitors expressed the opinion that the decrease in orders from brands was pushing shoe manufacturers to reconsider their attitude towards their own brands in order to guarantee production and liquidity.

The next dates for Micam and Mipel in 2025 are February 23–25 and September 7–9.
