Russian manufacturers are currently looking for various ways to reduce costs, so they are likely to start saving on the quality of goods, said Tatyana Komissarova, Dean of the Higher School of Marketing and Business Development of the Higher School of Economics, Vice President of the Russian Marketing Association.
“An important measure that manufacturers are currently working on is reducing the cost of production by switching to cheaper components,” Komissarova said.
In her opinion, at the moment, many companies are also reducing their staff, saving on marketing and corporate events, as well as on staff training. “It was almost the same in 2008,” she said.
In addition, Russian manufacturers stop releasing goods that are not in great demand, that is, they are engaged in optimizing the assortment.
