The designer prepared for this event for a long time and thoroughly. Last year, he wrote a book on fashion and brand history. It included some of the most iconic designer models, photographs from the personal archive, as well as a description of the understanding and philosophy of fashion. Also, on the 20 anniversary of the brand, a special film called Les 20 Ans was shot, telling about the process of creating the book by Christian Louboutin.

The designer has created a Christian Louboutin capsule collection, which includes 6 handbags and 20 pairs of shoes (one for each year of the brand's existence). They should become the quintessence of Louboutin's creativity for all 20 years. The designer has chosen the most iconic models, so that many will have a chance to get a Christian Louboutin model from yesteryear into their wardrobe.

“This collection contains shoes of a very different style, each style is the evolution of the designer,” representatives of the brand say. - Here you can see the master’s handwriting in everything. Not only in the red sole, but also in the elements that distinguish Louboutin's style as such: a little cabaret, a bit of travel themes and architectural elements. Each model that came into this collection has a rich and unique history of creation, full of inspiration and life. "These models not only mean a lot to the designer himself, but they are also an example of the evolution of Christian Louboutin shoes, which many women are so eager to get."

UK residents will be the first to see the new collection - on February 27 in Selfridges a pop-up Louboutin boutique with a new collection will open. The international start of sales is scheduled for March this year. The most devoted fans of the designer, having registered on Facebook, will be able to receive an e-mail invitation by which it will be possible to purchase shoes and accessories from the new collection in the very first place - on the website of Christian Louboutin, which is being prepared for opening. 

Another event is timed to coincide with the anniversary - on March 28, a retrospective exhibition of brand creations will open at the Museum of Design.
