Canary Islands inspired by Manolo Blahnik! to the “Russian” collection

Manolo Blahnik! presented a spring-summer collection-2011, prepared especially for Russia. Soon, several models of shoes will appear on the shelves of boutiques, which the designer calls "Russian" models. The theme of Russia is reflected, first of all, in the “names” of sandals - Rogozhin, Versilova, Ostrovsky, Karamsyn, Makar, Ivanovna. And this is all despite the fact that one of the sources of inspiration for the new spring-summer season for the designer is the luxurious gardens surrounding his villa in the Canary Islands. Critics wonder why the "Russian" collection of the maestro is replete with exotic flowers, including natural green, lime color, bright pink shades. No less exotic are the shapes of the models, often repeating the outlines of the leaves of tropical plants. It is very possible that this is how the designer understood and expressed the mysterious Russian soul.
