Kanye West, musician and founder of fashion brand Yeezy shoes and clothing, accused adidas of copying the design of the Yeezy Slides slippers, writing a comment on his Instagram blog (owned by Meta, which is recognized as extremist in Russia and banned).
The text of the publication was quoted by Billboard, and the publication was subsequently deleted on the social network page by the author.
Kanye West has accused adidas CEO Kasper Rorsted of copying the design of the Yeezy Slides when designing the Adilette 22 Slides shoe line. According to West, the fact of copying adidas models expressed disrespect for talent. “These shoes are fake Yeezy made by adidas.”
Kanye West's first Yeezy collection with Adidas was launched in 2015. At the same time, West retains full ownership of his brand and the right to creative control over the products.
