From 12 to 15 on February, Milan hosts the iconic MICAM exhibition for the global footwear industry; it is held in the Fiera Rho exhibition space. The event gathers representatives of shoe brands and buyers from all over the world. Visitors come to MICAM from countries in Asia, the Middle East and Europe.
The first days of the exhibition, many said that this season the number of MICAM participants is less than usual, since the 10 pavilion was dismantled. However, other opinions were expressed that MICAM organizers could benefit from the recent change in the format of another major European shoe exhibition - GDS in Dusseldorf. The change of the organizing company GDS, as well as the venue of the trade show in Dusseldorf, provoked an outflow of interest in the shoe business for this event, and a certain part of the exhibitors of the former GDS may prefer the German exhibition - MICAM already next season.
