Kiev businessmen glued their tags on Chinese shoes

Law enforcers seized almost 3 thousand pairs of smuggled shoes with labels of a non-existent Ukrainian manufacturer in a Kiev warehouse and outlets.

Workers of the capital tax police found Chinese-made products with Ukrainian labels in several crowded outlets and in a warehouse located in the industrial zone. The total value of almost three thousand pairs of men's and women's shoes is more than 1,5 million hryvnias.

Tax authorities did not find documents about the origin of shoes, which almost certainly indicates the poor quality of the products. In the course of further verification, it was established that this is low-quality footwear of Chinese production, which was smuggled into Ukraine. In order to better buy shoes, the labels were glued to products of a non-existent Ukrainian manufacturer.

In total, from the beginning of the 2012 year, the Kiev tax police seized UAH million from the illegal circulation of goods for 8,5, reports news.liga.net.
