At the same time, the China Leather Industry Association (CLIA) noted mixed results in the leather footwear segment. Although leather footwear exports increased by 9,9% year-on-year in volume terms, reaching 120 million pairs during this period, the export value declined by the same percentage to $1,56 billion.
According to the annual World Footwear 2025 edition, China remains the dominant player in the global footwear market, although its market share is gradually declining due to increased competition from other Asian manufacturers.
