Two of the world's largest online retailers - Chinese JD.com and the German Otto Group, have announced a joint venture with Zitra, an Otto subsidiary. Zitra becomes an independent division and will now act as an intermediary for international brands. Otto Group has high hopes for this project and hopes to help as many brands as possible find its customers thanks to the JD.com marketplace, and is also ready to invest several million euros in this project.
Sales of the Chinese Internet trading giant should amount to 522 billion euros for the current fiscal year, compared to 475 billion in 2014. Worldwide sales of the Chinese e-commerce market will be able to reach trillion euros through 4, so the project will allow Otto Group to significantly increase its turnover.
