After 38 years of active sales of the classic Ugg shoe model, it will be modernized. Updated ugg boots will go on sale in stores and online boutique brand 15 July.
Dave Powers, President and CEO of Ugg's parent company, Deckers Brands, announced the relaunch of the brand's classic model back in December 2015. He said the company plans to remove all old classic models that were on sale in the 2015 winter season from wholesale sales in the United States, replacing them with models from the updated collection.
Model ugg Classic II will also look like the original classic model, but will be upgraded in a number of ways, according to consumer preferences. The new Classic II uggs will be presented in three versions - mini, short and high, shoes will be made of pre-processed sheepleather, with a protective coating from water and stains. The sole surface of the new model will have a better grip effect, will become more stable and durable. At the same time, ClassicII will retain many original elements of the previous classic model, including embossed seams sewn over the edge, a rounded nose, a logo on the heel. Powers believes that restarting the classic ugg model will be a gift for loyal consumers of the brand. He will show brand customers that the brand is developing, and the company is listening to the wishes of its customers.
