Manolo Blahnik Collection for J.Crew

Manolo Blahnik often created shoes for fashion shows Carolina Herrera and Zac Posen. But now he has joined forces with J.Crew in the first collaboration with a democratic brand.

The result of their collaboration could be seen the other day, when the J.Crew brand introduced the latest seasonal clothing line as part of New York Fashion Week.
Jenna Lions, president of J.Crew, literally fell in love with Manolo Blahnik's BB model and persuaded the designer to make a joint collection.

Blahnik used his classic “BB” model - simple pointed-toe pumps with thin stilettos - to create shoes for J.Crew and ended up with 41 variations. The designer made the new shoes in different colors (including mirrored gold and silver), as well as from different fabrics - suede, tweed and other materials, which were originally present in things from the J. Crew collection.

“This is a way to connect the distant and the more accessible. This is how modern women dress today - no one can express it better than J.Crew,” says George Malkemus, president of Manolo Blahnik USA.

The collection will be on sale in spring in selected J.Crew stores and in the brand's online boutique. And the shoes will cost from $ 595 to $ 645. Apparently, this is the price range that Malkemus considers to be the personification of "fashion and affordability." Based on materials from cosmo.ru and buro247.ru.
