Michel Vivien was born in 1962 in Grenoble and graduated from the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Michel Vivien remained a designer at Carel for several years, and later collaborated with brands such as Yves Saint Laurent, Givenchy, Dior, Lanvin, Thierry Mugler, and others.
