French designer Christian Louboutin lost the case against Spanish brand Zara. The conflict erupted a year ago when a pair of shoes appeared in the Zara collection, looking like sandals with the signature Yo Yo Christian Louboutin red sole. Louboutin reacted immediately, calling them “fake and unfair competition” and went to court.
At first, the court sided with the famous shoe designer and ordered Zara to pay £ 2000. In response, the Spanish company filed an appeal. Kristina Louboutin appealed against this decision, but suddenly the court found that the case was closed. According to the decision, there is no obvious similarity and the risk of misleading customers is small.
Recall, Louboutin has sued another brand Yves Saint Lauren, which he also accuses of plagiarism using red soles, reports fashionunited.ru.
