Christian Louboutin sues Yves Saint Laurent

The famous designer Christian Louboutin has sued the Yves Saint Laurent fashion house. The couturier claims that French Yves Saint Laurent shoes are sold in Manhattan stores, which are almost completely identical to his signature red-soled shoes. Recall that the red color of the shoe sole has been the trademark of the designer Louboutin since 1992.

Christian Louboutin demands YSL to withdraw these shoes from sale, as well as pay $ 1 million in compensation for non-pecuniary damage.

“The use by the accused of red soles in their shoes can mislead the public and significantly undermine the reputation of Yves Saint Laurent,” Christian Louboutin said in a statement.

Representatives of Yves Saint Laurent have not yet commented on this news.
