The popular Adidas Superstar sneaker model has undergone a radical rethink. In the history of this couple over the 55 years of existence, there have been various transformations, but this time in the collaboration of Adidas with the Chinese street fashion brand Clot, the most incredible result was achieved, writes Fotwearnews.com.
The upcoming Clot x Adidas Dress Superstar collection was featured in a series of photographs by sneaker photographer Tyler Mansoor. The new pair of sneakers takes cues from previous Clot and Adidas collaborations, which featured the German brand's retro sports shoes in a more formal way. However, previous Clot x Adidas releases have been more restrained in the designers' pursuit of elegance.
The new Clot x Adidas Dress Superstar sneaker comes in a black colorway and is crafted from shiny, smooth leather. The signature “three stripes” on the sides of the vamp are marked with perforations and thus practically blend into the background of the shoe. The sneakers have a leather sole and waxed laces with tassels.
As a reminder, the Adidas Superstar debuted in 1970 as a low-top, full-grain leather basketball shoe with a rubber toe.
The exact release date of the Clot x Adidas Dress Superstar is still unknown, but information about it will appear in the near future.
