Philippe Plein, together with Los Angeles art artist Alec Monopoli, has released a capsule collection of men's and women's clothing and shoes, which will go on sale in early November.
"Alec Monopoli" is the pseudonym of a little-known graffiti artist from New York who works in large cities around the world. He has a wide variety of materials in his arsenal: from stencils and sprays to epoxy paints, varnishes and newspapers. The work of Mr. Monopoli is characterized by a specific image of the iconic characters of pop culture. Alec was featured in The Wall Street Journal, Forbes Magazine, Entrepreneur Magazine, New York Post, Rolling Stone, Playboy Magazine, Billboard Magazine, Vibe, The Huffington Post and Complex Magazine. He also made it to the Top 10 of the most popular artists by the number of queries on the Internet in 2016.
In the collection, Monopoli remembered the work of the king of pop art by American artist Andy Warhol. On T-shirts - images of Alec in a bandana scattering dollar bills from the famous can of Andy Warhol soup. On low and high sneakers - dollar signs and a riot of graffiti colors.
The capsule is supplemented with cashmere pullovers, denim, leather bomber jackets, backpacks and shoes, also decorated with bright and custom prints.
