Lamoda online store decided to switch to a mobile acquiring system when accepting payments from customers. The couriers of the online platform have already received the first 2can & ibox mPOS terminals.
Acquiring service is provided by VTB 24 Bank. Previously, the Lamoda courier service used standard banking terminals. According to Lamoda CEO Paul Rogowski, by October the company plans to fully switch to mobile acquiring and fiscal Bluetooth registrars in all cities where delivery is carried out by LM Express’s own service. Courier service LM Express operates today in 66 Russian cities, including Moscow and St. Petersburg.
The main advantage of mobile acquiring is the convenience and ergonomics of mPOS devices. Card readers used in mobile acquiring are several times smaller and lighter than classic POS terminals. By October of 2016, LM Express plans to use up to 500 readers in Russia and, according to the results of the innovation, extend this payment method to Kazakhstan and Belarus.
