Lamoda, the largest online retailer, is set to go into the regions. The company has already begun to build its own logistics system outside of Moscow and St. Petersburg, opening representative offices of its own delivery service in Rostov-on-Don, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Samara, Tolyatti and Krasnodar.
The Lamoda Express service allows you to deliver orders the very next day after placing them. “This was achieved thanks to the new logistics scheme. We make bulk purchases in advance, place the goods in our own warehouse and only then start the sale, - explained Florian Jansen, Managing Director of Lamoda. “Therefore, an order placed before 12:00 is shipped from the Moscow warehouse on the same day and the next day arrives at the transit warehouse of a particular region, and then is delivered to the client using our own courier service.”
In addition to Lamoda Express own logistics company, delivery of goods from the Lamoda.ru online store is also carried out by the SPSR courier service, PickPoint pedestals and Russian Post, operating throughout the country. Representatives of the company note that, in terms of service, Russian Post is inferior to three other services due to the length of time. In this regard, the company is trying to make this type of delivery safe for customers, without fail to insure all parcels from possible loss.
It is worth adding that recently Lamoda also launched a night courier service in Moscow, giving its customers the opportunity to receive goods around the clock.
